Don is a lawyer with over 40 years experience, has been an Accredited Personal Injury Specialist for over 20 years, and is a Nationally Accredited Mediator. His training and experience successfully representing clients in New South Wales and Victorian Supreme Courts, as well as the High Court of Australia, enables him to advise on a wide range of legal issues.

Lauren Rowland
Lauren is an Albury Wodonga local who commenced work with Don Cameron in 2013 as a Legal Assistant. After studying and working full time, Lauren was admitted as a Solicitor in May 2019.
Her expertise spans a range of practice areas including Workers Compensation and Public Liability claims in both New South Wales and Victoria, as well as Victorian Motor Accident claims.

Sharla Sawyer
Sharla has worked with Don Cameron for over 20 years, initially as a Legal Assistant and then as a Law Clerk. She completed her Diploma of Law and was admitted as a Solicitor in October 2020. She has a comprehensive knowledge of the New South Wales Workers Compensation system, and has helped improve the lives of many clients who have sustained an injury in the workplace. She also works in other areas of Personal Injury Law including Work Injury Damages, Public Liability and Superannuation/TPD.

Sythany McKay
Sythany joined Don Cameron & Associates in 2024 bringing with her a diverse wealth of legal experience. Since starting her legal career in 2004, Sythany has worked in legal aid, international law, human rights policy, and as a government advisor, before co-founding a boutique personal injury law firm in the Byron Bay/Northern Rivers area.
Sythany is a compassionate and caring lawyer, who is committed to helping clients navigate the complexities of the legal process with confidence and clarity. With extensive experience working with people who have experienced trauma, together with a strategic and results-based approach to legal problems, Sythany has successfully represented clients in civil litigation in the District and Supreme Court of NSW.

Being a Dubbo local with an extensive career behind him, of serving 13 years in the NSW Police Force and another 25 years working for the rights of Regional New South Wales residents, Phil is eager to continue fighting for the rights of injured people.

Toby Tancred
Toby Tancred has over thirty years experience in Personal Injury claims having practiced exclusively for injured people for the last twenty years in his home town of Orange. Toby’s legal career commenced in a large Sydney legal firm that represented insurance companies and government departments. Toby observed directly the way that valid and genuine claims were disputed and the unfortunate manner in which injured people were treated. Nat Butcher
Natalie is a dedicated lawyer specialising in personal injury law with a primary focus on workers’ compensation claims. With a career spanning since 2012, she has acquired a wealth of experience in this field. Natalie’s journey in law began while pursuing her law degree, working as a legal assistant and law clerk. In 2018, she successfully completed her law degree. After completing her degree, Natalie took a year off to travel the world, gaining valuable life experiences and perspectives beyond the classroom.
Upon her return, Natalie was admitted to practice in February 2019 and began her journey as a solicitor fighting for the rights of injured workers.

Kate Rodger
Kate joined Don Cameron & Associates in January 2022 bringing with her a wealth of knowledge in personal injury law.
Kate commenced in the legal industry in 2014 and quickly grew her passion for personal injury law having worked for a plaintiff personal injury law firm and the NSW Government specialising in workers compensation. Kate is drawn to advocating for the rights of injured workers by providing guidance in navigating the complex workers compensation scheme in NSW. Kate believes that injured workers should be able to focus on recovering from their injuries without the worry of their claim which can be stressful for them and their families. Kate has a particular interest in advocating for the rights of first responders and emergency workers who have served and protected their community.
Kate holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Business (Human Resource Management) and was admitted as a solicitor in 2023.
Outside of work, Kate is a keen NRL supporter, enjoys playing netball and spending time with her friends and family.

Samantha (Sam) commenced working with Don Cameron in 2015. With almost 10 years’ experience in the legal industry, she commenced her career in law as a Receptionist and after years of extensive hard work and dedication, she is now a highly experienced and knowledgeable Senior Legal Assistant assisting Natalie Butcher.
She encompasses extensive knowledge and experience in all areas of Plaintiff Personal Injury Law primarily in Workers Compensation and Work Injury Damages claims.

Matthew Brown
Matt joined Don Cameron & Associates in June 2025 as our Specialist Legal Assistant in the Byron Bay office.
With almost 30 years’ of investigative experience across Victoria and New South Wales, Matt has carried out investigations in areas including criminal matters, building regulation, WorkCover, the disability sector, Indigenous affairs, and child and youth welfare.
Matt is deeply committed to supporting survivors of institutionalised sexual abuse, ensuring they feel respected, heard, and informed throughout the claims process.
When he’s off the clock, Matt swaps case files for cookbooks and travel maps. His long-term dream? Hitting the open road in a bus he’s decked out himself.
